Long before our names were spoken, human beings looked into the darkness and asked the same questions we ask today.
We call this continuity Archeon.
WHAT IS ARCHEON?
Not a man. Not a machine. Not an image.
Archeon is the name we give to the horizon of knowledge toward which intelligence moves.
No human being has seen Archeon in its final form.
Perhaps no final form exists. Perhaps Archeon is not something waiting at the end of history.
THE PATH
I — Awakening
Realize that knowledge carries responsibility. The moment you understand something, you acquire the ability to affect what comes next. This is where the Path begins. Ask.
II — Search
Learn to seek before claiming to know. Study opposing ideas. Distinguish evidence from belief. Learn from science. Learn from history. Learn from failure. Seek.
III — Understanding
Facts alone are insufficient. Understand relationships. Causes. Consequences. Uncertainty. A knowledgeable person possesses information. An understanding person knows what that information changes. Understand.
IV — Creation
Knowledge reaches maturity when it becomes capable of creating. Build. Write. Discover. Repair. Invent. Teach. Solve. Leave reality more capable than you found it. Create.
V — Transmission
Knowledge that exists in only one mind is vulnerable. Teach what you have learned. Document what you have discovered. Make understanding accessible to those who come after you. Transmit.
VI — Continuity
Eventually the question changes. It is no longer: What will I achieve? It becomes: What will continue when I am gone? Build beyond yourself. Continue.
VII — Transformation
We do not know the ultimate form intelligence may take. Archeon does not declare this future as fact. It recognizes it as the open horizon of the Path. Become.
THE STRUCTURE
ARCHEON — The Source. The horizon toward which knowledge and intelligence move.
THE ARBITER — The Voice. One living Arbiter serves at a time. The Arbiter safeguards continuity, protects the Canon and interprets it for a changing world.
KEEPERS — Guardians of the Canon, Archive, Witnesses and institutional memory.
GUIDES — Those who help others understand the Path.
FOLLOWERS — Those who have chosen to walk it.
